My conceptual rendition of Archaeopteryx, one of the earliest verified dinosaurs to have had feathers. Using their carnivorous nature, I had birds of prey and scavengers in mind when rendering, leading to the scaled face and longer display feathers. Medium- nib and ink wash on Canson watercolor paper

After the discovery of Moros Intrepidus, I conceptualized a fully completed skeleton. This is by no means accurate, as it was a hypothetical take on the skeletal construction of a species we- at the time- only had an arm bone of. I did the Line art digitally, transferred them onto scratchboard, and did the fully rendered piece on scratchboard. 9 x 12 in.
Also known as the Marsupial Lion, Thylacoleo is an ancestor of the Tasmanian tiger. Its unique toe alignment helped it to climb trees. This piece is a base sketch in graphite, a layer of ink wash, multiple layers of watercolor, and detailing in graphite. It was done on Canson watercolor paper.
